Nicole G. Martell is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has been providing psychological services for over fifteen years. She received her Doctorate in clinical psychology, Psy.D., from the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University in Pennsylvania. Dr. Martell also received her M.B.A., Masters of Business Administration and completed an organizational psychology concentration at Widener University. As part of her doctoral program she integrated her psychology and business knowledge in her Doctoral dissertation entitled, "The Voice of Leadership: Critical Success Factors of Executive Women".
She completed undergraduate and graduate work at James Madison University (JMU) in Virginia. While at JMU, Dr. Martell graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in psychology and went on to earn her M.A. in psychology. She completed her Master's thesis entitled, "The Effects of Club Sport Participation on Attachment Style in Friendships".
Dr. Martell has professional experience working with adults, adolescents, and children in numerous settings across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia.
She has extensive experience working in the university setting, at Rutgers University and LaSalle University, treating a diverse population of adult graduate and undergraduate students with a wide range of clinical issues. Thus, she understands the complexities and inherent struggles of this time in an individual's life.
Through Dr. Martell's doctoral dissertation research and various consulting experiences she has an understanding of the multitude of issues that arise while working in organizations. Particularly, she recognizes the struggles and success factors of women in the workplace.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), including the Society for the Psychology of Women and Division of Independent Practitioners. She is also a member of the New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA).
